These are exciting days at Aerospike. Today we announced that we posted record results in 2021. Highlights for the year include:
Record sales of our Aerospike Real-time Data Platform in 2021, doubling growth from 2020.
Sales outside North America tripled, with record growth in every region.
Aerospike’s Cloud Managed Service grew 450% year over year, another record for the company.
A strong market tailwind for Aerospike reflects the fact that we all live in a “right now” economy. Businesses and consumers expect results in the blink of an eye. For businesses to thrive in this new economy, applications must be built on a modern data architecture that can process massive volumes of constantly changing data in milliseconds.
To meet market expectations and ensure our future growth, we are announcing several organizational changes.First, Aerospike’s Founder Srini Srinivasan will step up to fill the role as CTO. In his new role, Srini will engage closely with clients, prospects, and partners to elevate Aerospike’s overall presence in the market. Cliff Mercer will take on the role of SVP Engineering.
Second, I am pleased to announce that Subbu Iyer is taking on the role of Aerospike’s CEO. Subbu is an accomplished leader with deep executive experience at several enterprise technology innovators including Oracle, Veritas Software, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dell EMC, and Riverbed Technology. I am excited to welcome Subbu to the Aerospike leadership team.
Third, I will step up to serve as Chairman of the Aerospike Board of Directors. In this role, I will continue to help guide Aerospike’s overall strategic direction while working closely with investors, strategic partners, customers, and prospects.
As I assume this new role, I want you to know how honored I am to have served as CEO of Aerospike. I want to extend my warmest thanks to all of you. It has been an exciting and rewarding experience. The future for Aerospike is bright and filled with opportunities. The best is yet to come.
