Prior to Aerospike, we were using another in-memory database and running into challenges in terms of the cost of scaling. We needed to seamlessly leverage both the memory and disk in such a way that it can guarantee a consistent performance. We moved to Aerospike for its hybrid memory architecture to leverage next generation memory and SSDs to their fullest advantage.
With Aerospike, we were able to dramatically reduce stand-in processing (STIP), data consistency issues, as well as false positives and false negatives for future transactions.
We needed to scale beyond in-memory operations and process massive amounts of messages while adding millions of labels every second at ultra-low latency. Aerospike allows us to expand our business use cases and identify newsworthy events across more types of data.
