Independent consulting study highlights how developer-friendly Aerospike boosts top-line revenue while reducing TCO

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF.—December 8, 2020—Aerospike Inc., the global leader in next-generation, real-time NoSQL data solutions, today announced the findings from a commissioned Emerging Technology: The Projected Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study conducted by Forrester Consulting. The research determined that Aerospike’s NoSQL Data Platform can deliver a three-year return on investment (ROI) between 446% and 574% for customers.

The independent study is based on in-depth interviews with several Aerospike customers across industries including retail, e-commerce, financial services, and technology. The insights were used to develop a composite organization that represents a $1B conglomerate with worldwide operations.

Forrester’s analysis found that organizations in specific industries using Aersopike’s NoSQL Data Platform realized the following business impact over the course of three years:

  • Projected ROI between 446% and 574%
  • Total business value from an analytical deployment ranged from $45M to $49.8M
  • Total business value from a transactional deployment ranged from $20.5M to $30.2M
  • Total business value from an operational deployment ranged from $473.1K to $780.4K
  • Reduced server footprint by 55% to 75% on average each year
  • Improved developer efficiencies by redeploying .5 to 1.5 FTEs annually to more value-add work

Additionally, organizations using Aerospike scaled data volumes used in existing use cases. They also expanded to include supplemental use cases to further augment legacy data stores and address performance and scale demands. “We started with a single use case, and from there we’ve brought on 40 or so other different development app groups within the organization to use Aerospike as either a cache or a database source. So, these are either brand new projects starting up or moving over from our old infrastructure. Today, we have 75 individual use cases and are bringing on one to two new ones a week,” said a senior manager, e-commerce.
