2020 has been a year of innovation and recognition for Aerospike. The latest honor is the company’s inclusion on Database Trends and Applications magazine’s eighth annual list of top products in data management and analysis. DBTA’s Trend-Setting Products for 2021 recognizes solutions in the marketplace that are both innovative and effective in helping customers address evolving challenges and opportunities.

When Aerospike was founded in 2010, our vision was to provide enterprises of all sizes with a next generation database like those built internally by the world’s largest internet companies such as Google, Twitter and Yahoo. The goal was to help companies of all sizes deliver mission critical real-time digital applications with unmatched reliability, predictable high performance at any scale with the lowest TCO in the industry. A decade later, Digital transformation is an imperative across almost every industry.

Companies have no choice today and must accelerate investment in real-time data strategies and optimize online applications to meet the reality of customer expectations in today’s digital economy. Those who embrace the new digital imperative will thrive, those who do not will fail. This past year Aerospike made significant progress making our next generation real-time data platform ready to help companies meet the new digital imperative. In May, we announced Aerospike Database 5 with multi-site clustering functionality that eliminates the trade-offs companies have traditionally made between strong consistency and performance for large scale, globally distributed applications. Database 5 represents the single most significant release in the company’s history.

In May, we also announced Aerospike Cloud Managed Service a tremendous leap forward in our ability to reduce friction for companies deploying the Aerospike Database in any public cloud. Today almost 50% of our customers run Aerospike in a public cloud, and we were excited to provide capabilities that make this easier than ever before. In September we announced significant enhancements to the Aerospike Connect product family, making it easy to integrate the Aerospike Database into a wide number existing data infrastructures. Aerospike Connect for Spark, Kafka, JMS and Pulsar enable an entire new class of enterprise use cases, from legacy mainframe offloading to real-time analytics. We are excited that our achievements in 2020 gained recognition in the industry. Aerospike was recently named to Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America. Reflecting our continuing momentum in the cloud, we announced earlier this month that Experian chose Aerospike Cloud Managed Service to power and run their CrossCore digital identity and fraud risk platform.

And just last week Forrester published a Total Economic Impact Report highlighting the top and bottom line impact companies can expect when choosing the Aerospike next generation real-time data platform. The inclusion on DBTA’s Trend-Setting Products for 2021 caps off a banner year for Aerospike, providing further evidence that the industry recognizes Aerospike as a leader in next-generation, real-time data solutions. We look forward to what the New Year will bring as the new digital imperative invites us all to innovate and thrive.
