Quantcast Rebuilding a Real-time Datastore: the design, deployment & performance story

This talk is about how we migrated from an in-house legacy datastore that handles 1.5 million lookup requests (per second) to an Aerospike backed new system that powers our real-time bidding platform. The focus will be on how we designed the new system, the actual deployment process performed without any downtime, and the performance characteristics of the new system.
