This use case study highlights the position of a Charging system in a telecommunications network and the application of the Aerospike database in the Nokia Converged Charging product. It then describes a new Usage Management application within the Charging domain and describes in detail a Proof of Concept trial of that application using the Aerospike database. The architecture and performance results for the PoC are provided demonstrating the suitability of Aerospike in this new application.

Russ has 34 years of experience in telecommunications system design and architecture. He has worked on core telecommunications networks, voice processing systems, messaging systems, and charging systems. Russ is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
