Dream11 is India’s largest fantasy sports platform that allows users to play fantasy cricket, hockey, football, kabaddi and basketball. Aerospike runs as a cache in AWS in conjunction with RDS for real-time leaderboards and contest management handling 2.7 million concurrent users. Dream11 moved from Elasticache Redis to Aerospike for improved availability, cost, latency and elasticity. Aerospike is deployed with Spark and Kafka to manage traffic spikes across geos using microservices across seven clusters – all on AWS.
