Set up the project directory

For the complete documentation index see: llms.txt

All documentation pages available in markdown.

  1. Create a working directory for the tutorial.

    Terminal
    mkdir aerospike-elastic-tls
    cd aerospike-elastic-tls
    printf 'features.conf\nsecurity/\n.env\n' > .gitignore
  2. Copy your feature-key file into the directory and name it features.conf. Replace DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY with the directory that holds your downloaded feature-key file. The feature-key file is sensitive, so .gitignore excludes it and the generated security files from source control. The chmod command limits access to your user account.

    Terminal
    cp DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY/features.conf ./features.conf
    chmod 0600 features.conf
    grep -E '^asdb-change-notification[[:space:]]+true$' features.conf

The grep command must print a line ending in true before you continue.

Your project directory now looks like this:

    • Directoryaerospike-elastic-tls/
      • .gitignore
      • features.conf Enterprise Edition feature-key file
