Install the Aerospike client

Prerequisites

  • .NET 8+
  • [Optional] Visual Studio 2022+

NuGet install

The compiled C# client library is published on NuGet as Aerospike.Client. This guide uses 8.5.0 in examples; pick another version on NuGet if needed.

Package Manager Console

Visual Studio Package Manager Console:

The package adds a reference to AerospikeClient and pulls in dependencies such as NeoLua, which the client uses for client-side stream UDF processing in aggregations. You do not need a separate NeoLua reference in typical applications.

  • Aerospike.sln — Visual Studio solution.
  • AerospikeClient — C# client library (Aerospike.Client on NuGet).
  • AerospikeTest — Unit tests (dotnet test AerospikeTest --settings .runsettings against a running server).
  • AerospikeBenchmarks — Load generator and benchmarks CLI. See Benchmarks.
  • AerospikeExample — Runnable console examples (dotnet run --project AerospikeExample -- --settings .runsettings all).

Build from the repository root with dotnet build Aerospike.sln --configuration Release.
